As a result of TISA’s civic education and advocacy efforts, our partners working at the national and county levels registered incredible civic interest in key governance processes, evidenced by the development and submission of citizen manifestos in Makueni, Mombasa, Kiambu, and Vihiga counties. Over two-thirds of the 90 political leaders signed the accountability pledges, of which 2/3rds were re-elected. As part of the accountability pledges signed by political leaders, Vihiga County Government signed an MoU with the Vihiga CSO Network soon after the elections to improve public participation in the county.
