CSOs under the umbrella of Okoa Uchumi and Angaza joined the Azimio la Umoja Running Mate Hon. Martha Karua to present their wish list demanding for integrity, redress for our public debt and electoral justice as we head to elections.
The deputy presidential candidate spoke at Serena Hotel in Nairobi on Friday, May 27,2022 and told the CSOs that it is their duty to ensure that they pile pressure on the government to give efficient services to the people. “CSOs are the cartilage that stand between state tyranny and the people” said Karua.
The Civil Society Groups expressed their hope to contribute workable solutions to Kenya’s Debt Crisis, establish a working framework and build consensus around key Governance Measures to restore Good Governance in Kenya’s debt management.
Martha Karua further said that if they win the presidency, she will ensure that their administration makes good use of the taxpayers’ money.
