TISA under the Okoa Uchumi Coalition led Kenyan citizens in a peaceful demonstration on Thursday December 9th 2021, to mark #AntiCorruptionDay. The citizen movement cited Budgeted Corruption, misplaced priorities, violations to finance management laws and oversight failure, as issues driving the public debt “sky high”
TISA under the Okoa Uchumi debt campaign is working with citizens to redress Kenya’s public debt crisis. The purpose of the citizen engagement process is to create public education, civic mobilization, and public discourse on the issue of public debt and its consequences for the citizen.
