Dear Sir,

RE: SUBMISSIONS ON THE 2025 DRAFT BUDGET POLICY STATEMENT

Greetings from the Institute for Social Accountability (TISA).

The Institute for Social Accountability (TISA) was founded in 2008 to promote sound policy, good governance, and social inclusion in Kenya. TISA’s mission is to empower citizens to claim their rights, hold the government accountable, and make the constitution a reality in their lives. To achieve this, TISA promotes inclusive policy frameworks, equitable resource distribution, and a sustainable culture of social inclusion.

Following the call by your esteemed office to make submissions on the 2025 Budget Policy Statement for the MTEF FY 2025/26 – 2027/28 Budget, TISA is pleased to submit its comments and recommendations on the 2025 Budget Policy Statement for your consideration. Our submissions underscore the necessity for an effective and robust Budget policy statement that upholds the standards set in Section 25 of the Public Finance Management (PFM) Act, 2012.

We believe TISA’s contributions will support the development of a robust, inclusive, and efficient budget policy framework for the 2025 fiscal year.
