Emily Ngolo

Wakesho is currently researching and working on legal and macro-economic policies on fiscal consolidation. As part of this, her work in the team also focuses on advocacy around transparency and accountability in public finance management in Kenya.

She is warm, friendly, and quite adaptable. She is a true introvert and thrives in close relationships with the people around her. She enjoys her own company quite a bit, but on the weekends will not shy away from spending quality time with friends. She loves a good playlist, loves to travel and is not afraid of exploring new places, new food, and new cultures. At the workplace, she thrives in certainty, team cooperation, well laid out plans and goals and will always lend a helping hand where she can.

A lawyer with diverse interests, she has dreams of changing the world, from changing the course of unemployment in Kenya, to fostering intra-African trade, to even making the world better one clothing line at a time 😉 She is passionate about African socio-economic development and will use her education in law and in trade to better the lives of especially women and the disadvantaged groups in the society.
