OKOA UCHUMI LAUNCHES A CITIZEN MANIFESTO

OKOA-UCHUMI-LAUNCHES-A-CITIZEN-MANIFESTO

Okoa Uchumi Coalition launches a Citizens’ Manifesto on Public Debt Accountability and Economic Justice on 5th April 2022. The manifesto is a concerted voice of citizens in various diversities calling for public debt accountability, and resolution of Kenya’s debt crisis.

The Okoa Uchumi Campaign calls upon all stakeholders to come together towards the common goal of accountability in debt management, and to formulate workable policies for the resolution of Kenya’s debt crisis. The campaign will undertake a stakeholder elections agenda setting to build public awareness and support key reforms and actions needed to enhance public debt accountability in Kenya. Through this engagement the civil society partners seek to discourse with political parties and other actors through sustained civic mobilization and awareness creation.
